Be it bags, skirts or tees, patchwork adds to style value. You can find loads of flea markets selling very attractive and vibrantly colored patchwork bags and skirts. They are pocket friendly and sure look trendy. The patchwork art dates bake to the Great Depression period when some old fabrics was recycled to make warm quilts. Even the smallest and the most insignificant piece of cloth was used to make a larger and more useful quilt for the biting cold. Patchwork somehow saw its decline after the World War Second. The good news is, it back with a bang.
Aside from jholas, skirts and tops, you can also spunk up your home with some neat patchwork carpets, wall hangings for my home and cushion covers. They come with designs made with mirrors and shells too.
Walk into any handicraft shop or local market and you will find a huge variety of skirts, waist coats, mobile phone covers and more for as low as $1. If you are the creative kind, then you could make your own work of art. You can zing to a dull, old white t-shirts of yours by simply sewing a few piece of old, colorful and small fabric onto it.
